Major Emotional Breakdown

So today I had my 39 week appointment and thought for sure that my doctor would tell me that I was dialated to a 6 and that I needed to get to the hospital. I had my hospital bags all packed in the car and left the house not planning on returning for a couple of days. Well, I am still only dialated 1 centimeter. I about started crying when the doctor sent me home today, and then totally broke down to Zacc on the phone about how I am done being pregnant and I just want her to be here. Clearly, I don't do pregnancy well and it will probably be a while before we have another. If any of you have tips on how to induce labor, I would seriously appreciate it...and trust me, we have tried all of the normal stuff...several times with no luck :(

Michelle - I hope you don't mind, I found your blog through the Darlings. Glad you dragged your pregnant self to the BBQ on the 4th...that was fun. And I'm so sorry that you haven't dialated more! I know how you feel. Those last several weeks feel like an eternity! Hang in there! She'll come soon. ;) Gina

I'm sorry but this made me chuckle! I totally understand where you are coming from. I remember thinking the exact same thing!! Have you tried hanging out with the Darlings lately? That's what did it for me. I went into labor right after we left their house after game night. ha ha!

Hi- We found your blog through someone elses ( I can't remember who now!) Anyways, I hope it's ok that we checked out your blog! Congrats on the pregnancy! I sympathize- I was two days over due, and it's no fun! Hang in there, you'll forget it all once your little girl is here!

My only advise is to switch to my doc for your next pregnancy. She induces everyone at 39 weeks. :) I totally remember that feeling though, I never really progressed that much on my own either, but maybe it's because she loves you so much she doesn't want to leave!! Good Luck with everything, can't wait to see pics!

Michelle,
This is Alissa (Payne)Blunck. I love blog surfing and I came across yours! Congrats on the pregnancy. I totally relate...I am due with a little girl on the 15th of July. I am at a 2 and I go in tomorrow for my next checkup. I think I will cry if I can't schedule a day to be induced. Pregnacy has been really hard for me too! The whole way through. My blog is kendalandalissa.blogspot.com. However, I haven't updated it forever. Good luck with the delivery. Make sure to post some pictures!

Ha ha! I can't help but laugh because I know exactly what you are thinking and feeling right now! The last month of pregnancy was by FAR the hardest, at that point all the "fun" stuff about pregnancy is by far long gone and in the middle of the summer I don't think there is a comfortable position to be in....but hang in there, once you have your baby you'll know that it was worth it!

The day I went into labor with Londyn we went to the Park City Arts Festival and walked a TON! Then for lunch we had some spicy mexican food, and that night I went into labor! It was the night before her due date though. Hang in there!! She'll be here before you know it!

I know I don't know alot about pregnancy and she is going to come when she feels like coming, but I've heard multiple time that spicy mexican food does the trick. Also there is an oil or scent that you can take a bath in that helps. Sorry I don't know the scent, I should ask my mother in law. She's a genious at that stuff. Anyway, good luck!

Oh man I feel for you!!! I was hating it at the end too! I hope that it all goes well for you. Hang in there you can do it. You should have her on the 14th, that would be sweet!

hey! This is Malerie Walker from your ward... i also found your blog just blog surfing!! (hope you don't mind)

But my Sisters mid-wife told her to do this when she was pregnant. It's supposed to put you into labor within a few hours.

You get Castor Oil (You can find it at Walgreens) and you can either mix in with juice (my sister said that was gross though, cause the oil and water seperated) or her mid wife said to put it on a salad, like dressing. You only need about 4 TBS of the oil. But here's a website link that explains more of what it does, and other mixtures to try with the oil. http://www.birthingnaturally.net/cn/technique/castor.html
or just google castor oil, and you'll get lots of results for it.

but it really does work, or it did for my sister and other patients of her mid wife.

But it's just an idea! You sounded really desperate to try something to put you into labor.
Good luck! and Congrats on the baby coming soon!

ok so welcome to the blogging world! I am linking our blogs together so we can keep in touch more.....because the 2nd thursdays of every month is not going to be enough! I wish that I had something wonderful and Nurse-like to tell you to help you get your sweet babe here....but I have nothing! Good luck though...you seriously are such an adorable pregnant girl!

Just chill and take some naps. After she's here for 2 weeks and you are so sleep deprived you don't remember life before the baby, you'll kinda want to put her back in.

One day past due!!!! Where the heck is that baby!? I know just how you feel. When I went in at 40 weeks I wasn't even dialated to a 1. Luckily my doctor induced me because I wasn't about to be as patient as my mom and wait 2 weeks past my due date. But I gotta add, pregnancy the 2nd go round is much easier. I was miserable much of the time with Delaney but this time has been easy. I might take that back in the 3rd trimester but right now I am too busy taking care of Delaney to notice. Hang in there. We'll be waiting to see those pictures.

Michelle!! This is Rachel (Schwab) Clegg - how are you?! I just saw your blog through Britt's and wanted to say Hi! I had the exact same thing happen to me when I was pregnant with Josh - I was a mess and actually went 3 days over my due date...probably the longest 3 days of my life! Go sit on the couch with a big chocolate ice cream shake and know that I'm thinking about you! :)

(We just took our blog private - email me your email address when you get a second so I can invite you...rachelsclegg@hotmail.com)

Woohoo! You have a blog. We're so excited for that. But more excited that you'll (hopefully) soon have a sweet little one in your arms. Hang in there. I don't have any tips other than what everyone else has told you. I've heard of the labor inducing pizza but don;t know where to get it. Good luck!

I'm sorry! I was very careful not to ask "how are you feeling" today at the pool! Haha!
Next time, go with a doctor that will induce you a little earlier if you want. :) That's what I did with Breck.
Did the Dr. strip your membrane's? Just curious. That usually works within a couple of days. Soo it will be over and you will be so glad things went the way they did.(It's hard to believe now though, huh?)
Good luck!
